Monstera Monday Or Why I Was Scary To Get One Before

And no, if you are waiting for me to say something like "Oh, my Monstera is going to suck out the good energy", it wasn't the reason. The reason is pragmatically easy to understand. The size! Size of any Monstera scares the shit out of me. In time, I am afraid it will make me go out of my place.

Nevertheless, I love the way a Monstera looks. It is simple and fascinated to stare at, isn't it? I got my first Monstera Deliciosa and immediately fell in love with it. I repotted it into an amazingly-looking container and I do have chemistry with it. Along with that, a Monstera is very easy to care for, it grows big and does it fast. A great plant for a beginner.

After that, I figured there is a variegated Monstera, Albo and that made me drive mad for it. I was looking for my perfect Albo everywhere. Actually, I got like three plants, and the last one was the biggest, prettiest, and almost broke my budget. So far this is the most expensive plant in my place.

So I potted them all together and I think they look lovely. Also, do you know how to check a variegation level? Look at the stem. The more white you can see, the whitest next leave will be.

Also, it has a cute pot.

If you think I stopped with this one, you probably don't know me well enough. I stumbled upon an amazing Albo that had a such good price tag. Sure I got that one too. At first I thought I'm going to sell it in time. But I got it and no, I am not going to let it go, nope.

It also has a cute pot and looks gorgeous next to my Deliciosa.

After being set with three pots of Monsteras I had a look at another Monstera with almost no variegation. It still looks amazingly good but almost has no white spots on the leaves. That doesn't stop me from being in love with it.

Now I want a Monstera Monkey and my biggest biggest wish would be a Monstera Thai Constellation. The thing about the Thai Constellation - it does not loose variegation. And I would say it is a bit yellowish than the Albo.

Keep in mind, completely white leaves are not good for the plant and would not last long. So I am not happy when one of my babies give me completely white leaves. Another thing about my Monsteras is that they do not give me new growth at first, I need to wait for some time before they do.

Hope this post will be updated with a new Monstera :)
