An Alocasia Dragon Scale and Silver Dragon are very similar and have many things in common. Specifically, both require the same care tips.
Both have a similar appearance and size. The foliage is textured and thick, very solid.
Care tips
Temperature: 55-80°F (13-27°C)
Humidity: prefers 60-80%
Light: bright indirect light or dappled shade
Soil: well-drained chunky mix
Watering: once the top 2-3 inches of soil feels dry. Alocasias tend to drop the leaves when it's not being watered in time.
Fertilizing: some sources state an alocasia doesn't need to be fertilized much, others say the opposite. I tend to fertilize mine about once every two weeks.
Alocasia Dragon Scale
The Alocasia Dragon Scale has light green or silvery-green foliage with dark green veins. The underside of the leaves is light green with reddish-brown veins. The leaves get up to 4-6 inches in size, it is a compact species. The Dragon Scale has an amazing texture of the leaves that looks like dragon skin.
This variety ships well so importing is easy although, during adaptation to your home environment, it might drop its old leaves. However, once it's comfortable to your care, it will give new growths frequently.
Alocasia Silver Dragon
Similar to the Dragon Scale, Silver Dragon has lighter leaves with dark, prominent venation. It requires the same care as the Dragon Scale and also ships well. The foliage gets up to 6 inches and looks similar to the Dragon Scale only is more of a pale silvery with dark green veins.
The Silver Dragon looks very alike to the Dragon Scale only has silver foliage instead of green.
The Difference
The main difference between the two is the foliage. The Dragon Scale is a dark green plant when the Silver Dragon is more of a silvery shade.
