The Alocasia Silver Dragon and Cuprea are common plants and not very expensive. Let's talk about general care and how to propagate it briefly.

The Cuprea is famous by its purple leaves with dark veins. The backside is also dark purple, even reddish.

The Silver Dragon is pretty popular and thinks don't know if it's still rated as a rare or uncommon plant. The structure of the leaves is amazing, reminds me of the Dragon skin which is where the name comes from.

Watering

Alocasias do not like to dry out but also overwatering is not an option too. And one thing that doesn't mention is you don't want to let these plants dry out. They don't tolerate dry soil for very long. You might get some drooping leaves some yellow leaves that sort of thing. So just make sure that basically the top of the soil it can dry out a little bit. But you don't want to let it get like more than maybe like 25 or 50 dry just give it a good throw watering and it should be fine. Keep the soil moist but not wet. It's a bit tricky but once you get used to the watering schedule, you've mastered it.

Light

The Cuprea needs more sunlight as a general rule of bright leaves says, those plants need more light to get brighter. The Dragon Scale on the other hand, can stay on a south-facing window. But both thrive under indirect sunlight.

Soil

Can advise using a chunky soil mixture this is tropical plant soil. It's got some extra perlite you can also see there's a little bit of orchid dark in there so something that is well-draining but doesn't hold on to moisture for too long. You also don't want something that is that dries out really fast like a cactus or succulent mix that typically has a bit more sand a bit more grid in there and it dries out far too quick for these plants.

Humidity

These guys come from fairly warm and humid regions. They probably require more along the lines of that 60 to 80%. If you don't have an actual humidifier you can group the plants together or put them in higher humidity locations like bathrooms and kitchens (with windows!).

Fertilize

In terms of fertilization, you can choose a universal liquid fertilizer that is suitable for most plants and follow the instructions on the back of the package.

Propagate

You can do it in one of two ways by plant division. So these plants grow by pushing out rhizomes underneath the soil. So it's a little side shoot and it basically produces a new plant. You can just take the plant out of its soil or whatever medium you have in it. And just cut it off.

The other way is when you took this Alocasia out of its soil and get the little bulb if it has some. Pot it into the sphagnum moss, perlite, or soil and wait for it to grow. So the box with perlite is a great option if it just provides a really good airflow it's just a nice airy mixture for the roots of the plant. And clearly plants liking the perlite.
